For those of you who don't know who Barry Goldwater was or how he defined real conservatism, you REALLY need to read this. For those who do, it's a refresher on what we're supposedly all fighting for, how our coaliion came together and why it's coming apart. Victor Gold skewers DCs, neocons and RINOs in grand style, and takes some shots at the sound-bite politics of today being practiced by the establishment of both parties and the media. The "Holy Roller" in the title is a classic anti-pentecostal slur, I Don't think it's wise to anger the people that strongly affect swing states like Missouri, West VA, Ohio, or Kentucky, It's really not something you should expect from your own party.
Given the things the fundamentlaists have thrown at their opponents in the party, I won't be shedding any tears for them.
